Today I gave my first ever invited speech at the CDS 8th grade graduation ceremony. I should have said a "Shehecheyanu." It was a blast to see how my old grade school has grown while maintaining its same fantastic intimacy and character. The graduating kids were very impressive--so self-assured and happy. The picture is of me with Mr. Bill Walter, my favorite teacher, at the post-ceremony reception.
I think every old Jewish lady in the audience who has a kid, niece, cousin, or a friend whose niece's cousin is a doctor made a beeline for me to tell me all about it!

Did you offer any thoughts on how girls are going to treat the boys in high school, and possibly eternity as well?
